This Aussie lad has it sussed - laid back, happy, cruising through life. I met him at Clifton Gardens in Sydney, where he happily obliged me taking his photo. The kookaburra is such an iconic Australian bird, and worthy of celebration even if they are "common".

I am in love with the birds of Australia and every time I visit, I come home with a new muse. Based on my New Zealand-focused “Birds of a Feather” series, this series celebrates the fact that birds are already works of art. Each picture in the series takes the bird’s colour palette and expands it into a painterly portrait.
Available on Breathing Color Elegance Velvet fine art paper in a limited edition of 25 at 18x18cm, a limited edition of 10 at 28x28cm, and a limited edition of 5 at 40x40cm. Sizes above 18cm come with a signed certificate of authenticity.
Smaller prints are packaged in archival cellophane envelopes with a backboard, and are shipped flat with additional support. Larger prints and canvases are rolled in acid-free tissue and shipped in a mailing tube. Sizes referred to are the printed area - the actual size of the paper or canvas is larger to enable framing. Paper prints are signed and editioned below the image. Canvas prints are signed and editioned on the reverse of the canvas.
