Abracadabra (kererū)
In a swirl of smoke and magic and kōwhai, the magestic kererū appears and the heavens erupt. Kererū are vital to the health of our forests as only they have a gape wide enough to swallow the berries of many of our native trees. In spring, you'll find them balancing precariously on the tiniest of kōwhai branches as they gorge on the high-protein leaves and flowers.
