The Selfie (kākā)
As an early Gen-Xer, I look on bemusedly at the complaints from boomers about millennials' obsession with their own image and the ubiquitous selfie. But the selfie is not a modern concept - many great artists have used themselves as a muse - think Frida Kahlo, Rita Angus, Rembrandt, Cindy Sherman... - and this exuberantly talented young kākā is no exception.
Two variations are available depending on how you wish to see it framed. If you're not sure, choose the white margin signed underneath. The extended version allows you to frame with no mat and no white margin, without losing any of the picture.
10% of the artist's proceeds go to Zealandia EcoSanctuary to support their conservation efforts.

An 80cm print in an edition of 3 is also available on request.

Smaller prints are packaged in archival cellophane envelopes with a backboard, and are shipped flat with additional support. Larger prints and canvases are rolled in acid-free tissue and shipped in a mailing tube. Sizes referred to are the printed area - the actual size of the paper or canvas is larger to enable framing. Paper prints are signed and editioned below or on the image. Canvas prints are signed and editioned on the reverse of the canvas. Images are printed on demand - allow two weeks for printing before shipping. For urgent deliveries, please enquire before ordering.
