"A Hidden World (kākāpō)" wins President's Award - New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts

Delighted to announce that "A Hidden World (kākāpō)" won the President's Award at the Matariki Exhibition at the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts – and is now SOLD! The show opened 23 June and ran through to 23 July, 2023.

This is an extra special piece – an extra-large 80×80 cm print on Chromalux metal, limited edition 3 of 5. It's beautifully framed in a wide gold molding and looks amazing. The beautiful thing with Chromalux is that no glass is needed. The matte surface can be touched and wiped, is impervious to moisture, and resistant to UV.

I've always wanted to exhibit an extra-large piece at the NZAFA, and finally I took the plunge. If you love kākāpō art, take a look at the other print options here.

Thanks Grahame! I love experimenting with framing – a number of customers had chosen gold for their kākāpō pieces and it really suits these rock stars of the bird world.
