"For the Birds" Exhibition 2026

For the Birds is Zealandia’s annual group exhibition, bringing together artists responding to te taiao — birds, plants, ecosystems — each from their own perspective and in their own way.

This show has been my baby for the past seven years, and it’s such a joy to put together. I’m also exhibiting a couple of photo-artistic pieces featuring takahē and toutouwai. Linton (my co-conspirator in Skrark Art) is exhibiting takahē and pīwakawaka photography.

We share the walls with a wonderful group of artists: Rika Nagahata, Gill Mason, Andrea Robinson, Louise Rutherford, Rebecca Chrystal, JM Beltran, Maria Manuel, and Shawna Chow.

All works are for sale, with a portion of proceeds from each sale directly supporting Zealandia’s conservation work. In addition, both Linton and I donate 10% of our proceeds to conservation.
