A kākāriki bursts into view. These engaging parakeets fill the skies with flashes of green and their chattering laughter. They once were a common sight on the mainland, but their numbers plummeted with predation by introduced rats, stoats, and cats. In 2010, they were reintroduced to the Wellington region, into a sanctuary surrounded by a predator-proof fence where they can breed safely and fly freely.
This fine-art print comes on archival heavyweight fine art paper. Each print is hand-signed and editioned.
- Small 18x18cm, edition of 25
- Medium 28x28cm, edition of 10
- Large 50x50cm, edition of 99 (canvas or paper, rolled)
The 50x50cm prints come on either fine-art paper or fine-art canvas. Both are shipped rolled. Allow additional time for printing of these larger pieces.
Exhibited in: "Birds on a Wire" solo exhibition (April, 2018), online Light-Space-Time Gallery solo exhibition (Sep 2017), "Visions of Zealandia" solo exhibition (Jun-Aug 2017), the Cleveland National Art Awards (Apr 2017).
