Created in the midst of winter, this watercolour painting has the anticipation of spring in mind. I couldn't resist some gold and rose-gold accents to bring it to life and add extra cheer. The original is now sold, but embellished A4 prints are available.
The embellished A4 archival Giclee prints have hand-painted stamens with gold and rose-gold watercolour paints. The prints are on archival textured fine-art paper. Limited-edition of 30.
Although I spend most of my time in the digital world where there are billions of colours to hand, it's hard to resist pigmented paints, filled with history and lore. Excluding the bling, this piece was created with just three pigments: vivacious French Ultramarine, moody Perylene Green, and mysterious Serpentine. The latter is a wonderful green pigment from Australia that granulates into green and burnt scarlet particles, given huge depth and texture. I love how these three colours play together.
This original watercolour painting is on the highest quality 9x12" 140lb Arches 100% cotton cold-press watercolour paper. Accepted for exhibition in the Spring 2022 show at the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts, and the Paekākāriki Art Show 2023.
I bought this beautiful piece of art painting, it is absolutely beautiful and master piece.. I think Judi is a very talented artist, I like her work and will keep eye on her website.
