Undulating layers of perylene violet and magenta pink unfurl in this dew-dripped rose "Ebb Tide."
I turned this medium-size first-edition fine-art print (edition 1/20) into a unique mixed-media piece. Giclee printed on the highest quality Hahnemühle German Etching 310 gsm fine-art paper; this piece is fixed to a shallow cradle board, then enhanced with a hand-applied impasto treatment giving a texture of thick brushstrokes with a gloss finish. The edges are painted in Payne's Grey.
No need to frame - the impasto protects the print from gentle handling, dust, etc.
Artwork size: approximately 30x30cm and 1.8cm deep. Ready to hang with D-rings and string attached to the rear.
Photos show the front, back, and side angles, along with the digital image, before printing and embellishing. The fourth photo is angled to accentuate the brushstrokes.
Ebb Tide is also available in four sizes as an unframed limited-edition fine-art print.
