The Intruder (ruru) - fine art print

Something is charming about the patina of age, the stories grunge and decrepitude tell, and who may have taken advantage of a vacancy. Even more charming if you're not the one cleaning it up 🤣. Having just acquired a "new" old house, most of my focus recently has been on cleaning, but this has given my imagination lots of time to come up with new artworks. This piece features one of my most favourite native birds - the ruru (morepork) owl.

This artwork started with photographs that were combined digitally and over-painted by hand using a digital stylus. The result is an artwork reminiscent of an oil painting but with all the detail of a photo. Because it is a digital creation, there is no "original" painting. Instead, it is a limited-edition fine-art print on archival heavyweight paper (or metal). Each print is hand-signed and editioned, and medium prints and above come with signed certificates of authenticity.

The classic blend of sepia and indigo hues lends an enduring quality to this piece. It makes for a splendid present for owl lovers.

Fine-art paper prints come on archival heavyweight paper using archival inks. The stated sizes are the printed area, and there is an additional white margin. Metal prints are on matte-finish Chromaluxe aluminium and have no margin. They come with a floating hanger and do not require framing, unless desired.
